We recommend this as the best way to see the city! The architecture center features an interactive museum and downstairs you can hop on a 90-minute river cruise. It's a relaxing, universally loved experience that takes you right through the heart of downtown while showcasing Chicago's spectacular skyline.
The Art Institute of Chicago
This is a must-visit for anyone looking to experience Chicago's world-class culture during their downtime. Guarded by its iconic bronze lions on Michigan Avenue, it is one of the oldest and largest art museums in the world. You can easily spend a beautiful afternoon here wandering the halls and viewing historic masterpieces.
LondonHouse Rooftop
This spot is special to us because it is where we got engaged! Perched at the top of a historic hotel along the Chicago River, this rooftop restaurant offers some of the most stunning panoramic views of the city skyline. It’s the perfect place to grab a bite, take amazing photos, and enjoy the views of downtown.
Avli on the Park
For incredible Greek food and beautiful scenery, we recommend Avli on the Park! It features a gorgeous outdoor patio with sweeping views of the park, and it's a short, scenic stroll into the neighborhood Nadia lived in right after college. If you have some free time this weekend, it is worth the walk over to grab a bite and take in the view.
Remembering Angel
On October 12th, 2025, Alex's father, Angel Luis Rodriguez, passed away unexpectedly from a cardiac event. In lieu of traditional wedding gifts, we are honoring his memory by collecting donations for the SADS Foundation.
SADS (Sudden Arrhythmia Death Syndromes) refers to genetic heart conditions that can cause sudden, unexpected cardiac arrest. The SADS Foundation is dedicated to supporting families and funding research to prevent these tragedies.
Every single dollar donated through this registry will go directly to the SADS Foundation. To make your gift go even further, Alex’s employer is generously matching 100% of all contributions. Thank you so much for your love, support, and for helping us keep Angel's memory alive while saving lives.

Where can I get Indian clothing for the Henna/Welcome Party?
Over the years, Nadia has built up a large collection of beautiful Indian clothing in a variety of sizes, and we would love nothing more than to lend them out to our friends! If you’re interested in borrowing an outfit, please fill out the Google form below.
Alternatively, if you would like to purchase Indian clothing we recommend the shops on Devon Ave. Manyavar is great option on Devon for inexpensive, quality clothing.
I have dietary restrictions/allergies. What will the food situation be?
We will be serving a buffet dinner with a wide variety of options to accommodate different diets, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free choices. If you have a severe food allergy, please let us know when you RSVP
Is there parking at the venue?
At the Mehndi/Welcome party there will be parking available for $35 at 50 Ohio Street. There is limited Spot Hero and street parking available around the Marriot Mag Mile.
At Morgan MFG there will be valet parking available.
What is the dress code for both events?
Please wear whatever makes you feel comfortable! For the Mehndi/Welcome party festive cocktail attire as well as Indian attire is encouraged. For the Ceremony it is black tie optional: formal western or Indian attire encouraged.
Are there any outfit color restrictions for either event?
No, come dressed in any color you like following the dress code above.
